Hands-on Class | Ages 13–17 Get ready to spark curiosity and build confidence in the kitchen! In this hands-on class designed especially by Chef Tara for teens. In this hands-on class, students will explore a variety of cooking techniques while creating a delicious, well-rounded menu. We’ll begin with the basics of flavor-building by crafting juicy homemade meatballs and a rich, from-scratch tomato sauce. Next, teens will dive into the art of seasoning and sautéing with Chicken Milanese, learning how to create the perfect crispy coating using batter and breadcrumbs. Finally, we’ll fire up the flavor with Grilled Teriyaki Salmon Bites—a fun, fast favorite that teaches marinating and indoor grilling skills. Side dishes will give the oppertunity to add additional basic skill building. Each student will work independently, following the Instructor. Key learning skills include kitchen station set up with tools and ingredients. Proper food preparation, knife skills and safe food handling. Simmering, sauteing, grilling, steaming and roasting. Whether your teen is a budding chef or just curious in the kitchen, this class offers practical techniques, pro tips, and a whole lot of delicious fun! Full tastings and recipes to dupliacte at home! About Allergies: At Culinary Cottage Teaching Kitchen, we strive to create a safe and welcoming environment for all participants. However, please be aware of the following: • We regularly handle and use common allergens including, but not limited to: milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, tree nuts, sesame, fish, and shellfish. • While we practice safe food handling procedures and proper sanitation, we cannot guarantee that any food prepared in our kitchen is completely free from allergens. • Cross-contact may occur due to shared equipment, utensils, surfaces, and storage areas. Allergies will be considered, but not guaranteed. Allergy concerns must be discussed verbally with a chef BEFORE registering for class. Our Cancellation policy applies.

Cancellation Policy

Students may arrive to class for check in, no earlier than 10 minutes prior to class start time. All cancellations must be e-mailed or called in. 50% booking fee is charged per student on all cancellations from time of booking, up to 10 days before class. Cancellations less than 10 days will not receive a refund. **Class cannot be transferred to another class, please do not ask** This policy applies to all Gift Certificates as well. If you've registered for a class using a Gift Certificate and do not show, the certificate is void. No exceptions.
