Description

It’s time to take cooking to the next level! Junior Chefs is a 6-week hands-on culinary adventure designed for students in 3rd through 5th grade who are ready to build real kitchen skills, try new foods, and become more confident cooks. They’ll learn how to read and understand recipes, measure accurately, use kitchen tools safely, organize their workspace, & prepare ingredients. Along the way, they’ll strengthen reading, math, sequencing, fine-motor skills, problem-solving, and decision-making—all naturally woven into the cooking experience. Each child will build a recipe book, with not only the recipe it's self, but training worksheets to reinforce learning. What They’ll Learn 🥄Recipe Reading — Follow recipes, understand basic cooking terms, and learn how to work through a recipe from start to finish. 🥄 Measuring & Math — Practice measuring, portions, and recipe adjustments. 🥄Cooking Techniques — Explore different methods of cooking and learn why different techniques work. 🥄Kitchen Organization — Learn how to prepare, organize, and clean a workspace like a real cook. 🥄Food Exploration — Discover new ingredients, flavors, cultures, and ways of preparing food. 🥄Problem-Solving — Learn how to think through challenges when things don’t go exactly as planned. 🥄Teamwork & Independence — Work together while taking ownership of individual tasks and responsibilities. More than a cooking Class, Junior Chefs aren’t just following recipes. They’ll taste new things, experiment with ingredients, learn from mistakes, and discover that cooking is both a skill and a creative outlet.
