Becky and her Sourdough House team are thrilled to offer an informative and hands-on 3 hour sourdough class. This 3-hour class will cover the essential steps to making sourdough artisan breads. It will also provide a solid foundation in understanding the artistry and function of sourdough making. It is our desire to build your confidence in what can often feel like a highly complicated process. We'd love to see every home making sourdough! Here's a breakdown of what a step-by-step 3-hour sourdough class will entail: Key Focus Areas Understanding Sourdough Basics Starter Management Dough Preparation Shaping and Proofing Baking and Scoring By focusing on these key areas, a 3-hour class can provide a valuable introduction to the art of sourdough baking. We will provide: Sourdough charcuterie for snacking 3 hours of instruction and hands on learning An activated sourdough starter, banneton Artisan loaf in fermentation to be cooked at home A limited supply of sourdough starter kits, which would include most of the tools you may want to continue, on your sourdough journey, will be available for an additional cost at intensive. This class is available for registration to student's ages 15 yrs-17yrs with a paying adult, no exceptions. Otherwise 18+ are welcome to register.
