You'll leave class with a printed step by step instructional guide, a wealth of knowledge & enough confidence to bake your very own fresh sourdough bread! Class will end with questions and a charcuterie board to graze- with fresh baked sourdough bread to try of course! Your take home items include: - A small fresh baked sourdough loaf, scored by you! - Printed student guide with recipes and information - Proofing basket & cloth - Bench scraper - Razor for scoring - Mason jar with fresh sourdough starter mixed by you - The dough you create in class, (this dough will go home with you in a bowl to continue bulk fermentation). Techniques covered: - How to store, maintain, feed and use your starter. - How to make an artisan sourdough loaf from start to finish; this includes mixing, stretch and folds, shaping, scoring and baking. - How to keep a small starter to reduce waste and how to scale up based on your needs. - Other tips & tricks for getting optimal results are discussed. A Little More Information- - Yes, you'll go home with a little “homework”, including the information needed to finish and bake your amazing creation. - You’ll need to refrigerate your take home dough and bake it the next day.
